Bondi Beach or Paradise?

Imagine the most picturesque turquoise water, soft sand between your toes, and the sound of gentle waves rolling in. A glass of wine in hand, overlooking the Iceberg pools and surrounding beach town. Take that image...enhance it by 10 and there you have it, Bondi Beach.

Upon first glance, it almost looked unreal. By the end of my hour and a half walk along the shoreline from Bondi to Coogee, I was finally convinced I wasn’t dreaming. It is a MUST DO in Sydney.

My friend and I started our walk at the Bondi Iceberg Club, overlooking the ocean. Good food, great drinks, and the most picturesque view —> I would definitely recommend!

After toasting to the start of a great trip, we ventured out on the walk to Coogee. We passed beach after beach (that all look like something out of a magazine) taking a few minute pause at each to take in the beauty, and then continued on the 6 kilometer walk. About 90 minutes (and quite a few pictures later) we made it to Coogee Pavilion (another must do!) for a celebratory drink!

Finally made it to Coogee Pavilion!

We are already planning to do the walk again next week! It’s such a great way to get moving and incorporate a little activity into your trip without even feeling like you are working out.

If you can't get enough of the beauty and want to take your workout to the next level, try heading down for some sunrise yoga. We booked through Yoga by the Sea, but at $25 the price just didn’t seem to justify the experience. That being said, waking your body up with some movement and overlooking the shore while the sun rises is a pretty majestic sight. My recommendation: grab your friends and do some yoga on your own as the sun peaks out over the horizon. If you just go down where the last railing meets the sand, there’s a little cement square (where we did our yoga) that is the perfect lookout spot!

MUST DO: Bondi to Coogee Walk, Bondi Iceberg Club, Coogee Pavilion

Other ideas: DIY sunrise yoga, shop through the surrounding beach town!

PRO TIP : Go during the week. Bondi gets packed during the weekend. We went on a Tuesday and it was so much more relaxing and sparsely populated.
